So how does the Build On Your Lot process work?
If you already own the land, we’ll meet you at the property to discuss its suitability for building. We can also assess land you’re considering buying to make sure it will fit your needs. There’s a lot to consider – zoning restrictions, easements, topography, utility access and more. As the general contractor, we can handle the permits and arrange for site clearing, grading and utilities.
Once you’ve picked out the right piece of ground, it’s time to choose a lender and determine your loan options. The lender will assess the value of the land, look over your finances and examine the construction plans before deciding how much you can borrow. We have preferred lenders to get you the best deal on your new home.
With your funding secured, it’s time to envision how everything will come together with our house, your lot. We’ll work with you to pick a home design that fits the lot and your family’s needs and tastes. Our modern single family homes are perfect for country acreage properties or suburban lots. Front and back porches ensure you’ll have a pleasant place to relax outside and enjoy your yard and land. Most plans have a bonus room or other flex space like a pocket office or study. They also feature first-floor primary suites so you can stay in the home for years to come.
During the planning process we’ll go over your options for customizing and personalizing your home with coordinated paint colors, hardware, lighting, cabinets and other finishing touches.
With that done, construction can begin. We’ll provide you with an estimated timeline for completion and keep you updated on your home’s progress. When construction is complete, we’ll walk through the house with you, meet again at the closing and hand over the keys!
